The Annapurna range dominates central Nepal
and is the most popular trekking destination in the country. This region
offers a variety of treks be it on short length easy routes or full length
peak expeditions, involving peaks such as Annapurna,
Dhaulagiri and Manaslu. Here you will have
a chance to visit lowland villages and mountain communities while admiring
lush forests, rhododendron thickets, High
Mountain passes and towering mountain peaks. You will also have an
opportunity to interact with various ethnic groups such as the Magars,
Gurungs and Thakalis. Most treks bound for the Annapurna region begin from
and end in the lakeside valley of Pokhara,
which can be reached from Kathmandu either by air or road.
